Questions & Answers TravelAsia18+

Q: Why make an app for adult nightlife Asian cities because there is a lot of info on the Internet of nightlife Asian cities?

A: We created an app for several reasons. As frequent visitors to Asian cities and their nightlife scenes, we found information lacking—often outdated, incomplete, or incorrect—and it was a hassle to look things up, write them down, and then figure out how to get there. Our app aims to make all that a thing of the past. Our TravelAsia18+ app is purely informational, and the actions of individual persons are expressly not our responsibility. Even without our app, they would do what they do once on site.

Q: Why is there a standard version of the app available for download from app stores, as well as a PRO version? Is the standard version free to use while you have to pay for the PRO version, or how exactly does it work?

A: It is true that there is a standard version available for download from app stores and a PRO version that can only be downloaded from our own website (https://www.ta18plus.com). The reason for this is that app store policies restrict what we can write or display within the app. As far as we are concerned, this completely misrepresents reality, and we are unwilling to go along with it. Frequent visitors to Asian cities and/or retirees living there know exactly what we mean. With TravelAsia18+ PRO, we aim to showcase what is available and provide accurate, comprehensive information to users traveling to Asian cities. We want to cover not just the attractions, costs, and must-visit spots, but also highlight where you might get scammed and the tactics used—because it isn't all sunshine and rainbows.

Q: Aren't you promoting things with the app that are unacceptable or prohibited?

A: No, certainly not. We do not promote anything that is unacceptable or prohibited (Our app is purely for providing information) . Our disclaimer specifically addresses this: "Be Always respectfully, friendly and honest to the girl/woman.Make it clear from the start what you want from her and ask what it will cost. Please obey the law and regulations of your country and visiting country (for example, a lady/woman under 18 is a no-go. It's even illegal ). Violence or coercion to do anything is excluded." And “However, we do not organize or mediate contacts between individuals. All interactions, decisions, and outcomes are made at the user’s own discretion and risk. Users are encouraged to stay aware of local laws, cultural norms, and health guidelines. Maintaining mutual respect, safety, and discretion ensures a positive experience for all parties. “. In our app, we describe and/or show how things really are—something that, according to some, apparently shouldn't be said or shown. And if it happens that way, they act as if it doesn't exist at all. That’s a bit naive of them, but never mind—we, the users, know better. All this is not to say that we, TravelAsia18+, approve of any of this. What is stated or described in our app is well known locally. It is described exactly as it is—nothing more, nothing less.

Q: Which countries and cities are available in the app? Will this remain the case, or will more be added?

A: For the time being, Thailand, the Philippines, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam are included in our app. Whether we expand this further depends on our users and the app's viability. It is a unique app—the only one of its kind to date—yet some believe it should be boycotted and destroyed. Those people live in a completely different, illusory world, but so be it. A significant part of the economy in the cities mentioned relies heavily on tourists who use an app like ours (or search for this information online). If they were to stop coming, the city's economy would collapse completely.

As for the cities featured in the app, think of places like Pattaya, Bangkok, Manila, Phnom Penh, Ho Chi Minh City, and cities of that sort.

Q: Is there a bug in the TravelAsia18+ iOS app? If I leave it open without using it, the screen freezes (showing a white screen). The app stops working or becomes completely unresponsive.

A: We have heard this from users a few times, and investigation revealed that changes to the app data were being uploaded in the background at the time. Close the app, clear the cache, and restart the app; it will then work as intended. A current drawback of our workflow is the use of multiple databases and background updates, which are employed to avoid requiring users to download a new update every time. Over time, background updates will decrease, or users will have to download updates all at once (once a month or so).

Q: How can I as a user help to update the App/ keep the App up-to-date?

A: We welcome any updates—whether positive or negative—those users send via our email address or by using the 'Feedback Form User' option on the Settings page of our app. Examples include venue updates (closures, new openings, or user experiences), venue photos, photos of users' experiences in the Asian nightlife scene, action shots, text-based tips, corrections, and so on. After verification, these are either implemented or not, depending on the circumstances. The TravelAsia18+ app is growing rapidly—faster than we anticipated—and has undergone quite a few adjustments and updates. Consequently, as of September 2026, we are focusing primarily on content and accuracy. This is especially important given that two versions are currently in circulation: the standard polished version and the uncensored version. We therefore need to clearly distinguish between the content of the two. This results in slightly more frequent background database updates, but on the plus side, it means an increasingly better, professional app for your users. We apologize for any temporary freezes, but the app will only improve in the short term.
